How to read it. The gold ray is a normal 24-hour hand (civil time, midnight up).
The dashed figure-8 is the lunar analemma, drawn as a Gerono lemniscate — the
corpus's analemma form (GeronoLemniscate.lean, LunarAnalemma.lean).
The small Moon rides it once per synodic month (29.5306 d), sitting at today's
lunar age; its lit face is the true phase.
Honest note. The phase, age and illumination are computed from the date
(epoch: new moon 2000-01-06 18:14 UT). The analemma shape here is the lemniscate model,
not a latitude-and-time sky trace — the real sky-traced lunar analemma needs an ephemeris and your
