dm³ Soundworks is a contemplative sound work — a healing walking meditation along Newark's old Boonton Line, built on formally verified mathematics (the dm³ operator chain, proved in Lean 4) and offered free to anyone who wants it. The walk ends at Forest Hill — where we are raising capital to build the Newark Wellness Center: a free community clinic, sound studio, workshop space, and garden, anchoring the proposed Boonton Line / Ice & Iron Greenway.
This page makes the case to two kinds of funders — arts & culture institutions, and Church-affiliated bodies — for why this project belongs in the same conversation as the Vatican's own recent commissions in contemplative sound art.
In May 2026 the Holy See opened its second pavilion at the Venice Biennale: The Ear is the Eye of the Soul, a sound-based exhibition inspired by Hildegard of Bingen, framing contemplative listening as "a pathway to spiritual and human renewal." Twenty-four artists were commissioned — including Brian Eno, FKA Twigs, Patti Smith, and Jim Jarmusch — to build what curators called a "contemporary scriptorium" of sonic prayer.
That is, at the institutional level, the same proposition as dm³ Soundworks: sound + contemplation + walking/listening as a path to wellbeing — except dm³ adds a formally verified mathematical spine (the g-series, proved in Lean 4) and a concrete, local destination — a free clinic in an underserved Newark neighborhood.

dm³ Soundworks is a free, browser-based listening engine paired with a four-stage walking meditation along the former Delaware, Lackawanna & Western Boonton Line in Newark's North Ward — from 90 Tiffany Blvd, through Branch Brook Park, to the old Forest Hill station site, ending at Forest Hill. Each stage layers a different sound (ocean tide, mangrove channel, a 111 Hz tone, a Reeb-helix drone) onto a four-step practice — compress, constrain, fold, unfold — that mirrors a formally verified dynamical system (the dm³ "g-series," zero-axiom Lean 4 proof, GitHub: TOTOGT/GTCT).
It is bilingual (English/Portuguese), free to access, and already linked to a planned physical installation on a library circuit in Newark, Elizabeth and New York City (November 2026) and a closing celebration at Branch Brook Park (April 2027).
The walk currently ends at an empty lot. The campaign turns it into the Newark Wellness Center — a free clinic with a sound studio and workshop space attached, anchoring the Boonton Line greenway. Figures below are illustrative starting points for discussion with architects, clinical partners, and funders — not final budgets.
